Add my email to Samsung Email on Android

Having your email account available on your mobile phone is a massive advantage. On the one hand, you get instant notifications the moment you receive a new message. On the other, you have a way of leading and managing your email communication while you’re on the move – something essential for many people.

Samsung is one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of smartphones. The devices it sells come with an application called Samsung Email – an Android email client optimized for the South Korean company’s tablets and smartphones. Today, we’ll show you how to set up your email account with Samsung Email.

  1. Open Samsung Email
The Samsung Email app is usually available on your smartphone’s home screen. If this is the first time you’re setting up an account with it, you will be sent directly to the Set up Email screen. If you have an existing account, you can open the Menu, tap Settings, and select Add Account to add a new one.
  2. Select Other
The Set Up Email screen gives you the option of quickly connecting email addresses created with popular providers like Yahoo, Gmail, and Outlook. Because you’re adding an address created with your hosting account, you need to select Other.
  3. Enter your email account’s details
The next screen requests your email address login credentials. If you enter the address and password and click Sign in, Samsung email will automatically try to connect to the correct mail server, and if it’s successful, it will set up the account on your Android device.
If the process fails or you want to set up the account manually, you can tap the Manual setup button in the bottom-left corner and complete the setup on your own. In addition to the email login credentials, you will also need your hosting account’s SMTP and POP3 or IMAP settings.

If you’re a ScalaHosting customer, and you’re not sure what these settings are, you can find them in the Welcome Email you’ve received upon activating your account. A copy of it is available in the My Details > Email History section of your Client Area. Feel free to contact our technical support team if you have any further questions.
