A panel on the right gives you information on how many inboxes you&#8217;ve set up so far and how many you have left. The process of creating a new account starts with <\/span><b>assigning a username<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The username is the part of the email address that precedes the &#8220;@&#8221; sign. You can either choose to distribute the available storage space evenly or set up some inboxes with more room than others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There&#8217;s an <\/span><b>Unlimited <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">option, which, when selected, won&#8217;t stop the emails from coming in, no matter how big the inbox becomes. Bear in mind, however, this could affect other users&#8217; service, and if you do reach your <\/span><b>hosting account&#8217;s storage capacity limit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the messages will start bouncing back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your next task is to select the <\/span><b>Plus Addressing options<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the email account. Plus Addressing is a feature that lets the sender <strong>address an email message not just to a recipient but to a specific folder<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, if you compose an email and put &#8220;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">john+important@example.com<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; into the <\/span><b>Recipient<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> field, you are actually sending the email to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">john@example.com<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">john@example.com<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> email account has <\/span><b>Plus Addressing enabled<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it will automatically create a folder named &#8220;important&#8221; and put the message there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, you can choose whether you want cPanel to send a welcome email with client setup instructions to the newly created inbox. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Create <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">button completes the process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also create multiple email accounts at once. The <\/span><b>Address Importer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tool on cPanel&#8217;s <\/span>homepage hosts <b>example CSV and MS Excel files<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which you can fill with the email addresses, passwords, and quotas for all the accounts you want to create. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After you&#8217;re ready, you can use the tool to upload the file, and cPanel will automatically set up the accounts for you. The <\/span><b>Connect Devices <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">button gives you all the information to set up an email client. Then you have the <\/span><b>Manage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button, where you change the account credentials and resource allocation, restrict access, and disable the Plus Addressing functionality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is where you can also<strong> delete existing accounts<\/strong>. Bear in mind, however, the data will be permanently wiped, and you will not be able to get it back.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Accessing Email Accounts via Webmail<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The welcome email you receive with the <\/span><b>activation of your email hosting plan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> does a pretty good job of explaining what you need to do to set up popular email clients on your devices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Still, <\/span><b>configuring the SMTP and IMAP\/POP3 settings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of an email client is not always practical. Imagine, for example, you want to check your inbox from a friend&#8217;s computer&#8230;you can&#8217;t ask them to install and configure something like Outlook or Thunderbird just for that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That&#8217;s why cPanel is equipped with the <\/span><b>Webmail<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> functionality that lets users access their emails through a web browser.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> domain name&#8217;s nameservers<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are pointed to the email server, you should be able to access the Webmail feature via <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">yourdomain.com\/webmail<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Navigating through the interface is not much different than navigating through your Gmail or Yahoo account.
