With the themes and plugins, you simply need to undo the steps from the previous section. Go to the respective pages and click <\/span><b>Disable Auto Updates <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">next to your selected add-ons.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turning off all automatic updates for the core is a bit more complicated as it requires modifying the <\/span><b><i>wp-config.php<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> file. This is<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> WP&#8217;s primary configuration file<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so it might not be a bad idea to <\/span><b>back it up<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before you make changes to it, just in case.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The wp-config.php file is located in your website&#8217;s document root (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">if you&#8217;re hosting it under your main domain, it&#8217;s the <\/span><\/i><b><i>public_html <\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">folder<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), and you can access it via both <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scalahosting.com\/kb\/access-server-ssh\/\"><b>SSH<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and FTP.
