There are various ways you can identify your <\/span>web hosting<\/b><\/a> account\u2019s server name. While most user-interface-based methods are similar, <\/span>you can also use command-line access to retrieve this information<\/b>. The latter method will require SSH access to your server.<\/span><\/p>\n

Method 1. Determine Account Server Name Using SPanel<\/span><\/h2>\n

\nThe easiest is by logging in to your <\/span>SPanel<\/b><\/a> account, then clicking on the<\/span> \u201cServer Information\u201d <\/b>link on the left-hand navigation bar. By doing so, you will see a complete summary of your server information on the <\/span>display area to the right of the navigation bar.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Method 2. Determine Account Server Name Using cPanel<\/span><\/h2>\n

In the<\/span> \u201cGeneral Information\u201d<\/b> display area on the right side of the screen, you will see a \u201cServer Information\u201d link. Click that link to open an information screen. Among the information displayed will be your server name.<\/span><\/p>\n

Method 3. Determine Account Server Name Using SSH<\/span><\/h2>\n

One additional method will involve <\/span>accessing your server via SSH.<\/b> While this method may take a bit more time, it is generic to most web hosting services. Before you begin, ensure that you have <\/span>SSH access to your web hosting server.<\/b><\/p>\n

Once <\/span>connected to your web server via SSH<\/b><\/a>, it will behave like any Linux-based system. To identify your server name, simply type <\/span>\u201chostname\u201d<\/b><\/a>.
