Web browsers cache website data to improve visitor web browsing experience. This cache includes information on the site\u2019s <\/span>SSL certificate<\/b><\/a>, which can be a problem if you\u2019re testing an SSL installation or working on other site updates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most web browsers store SSL state in history. <\/b>To clear the SSL state, follow the instructions below for your web browser.<\/span><\/p>\n

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge<\/span><\/h2>\n

SSL state cannot be cleared in the web browser if you are using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. It must be done from your Internet Options as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1<\/b>. In your Windows search box, type Internet Options and click to launch it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2. <\/b>Select the \u201cContent\u201d tab and click \u201cClear SSL State.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mozilla Firefox<\/span><\/h2>\n

To clear the SSL state on Mozilla Firefox:<\/b><\/p>\n

Step 1. <\/b>Click on the <\/span>icon on your browser navigation bar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2.<\/b> Click \u201cHistory\u201d followed by \u201cClear Recent History.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3.<\/b> Select all checkboxes then click \u201cOK.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Opera Browser<\/span><\/h2>\n

To clear the SSL state on the Opera browser:<\/b><\/p>\n

Step 1.<\/b> Click \u201cDelete Private Data\u201d on the \u201cTools\u201d menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2.<\/b> Select \u201cDelete entire cache.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
