They are an integral part of the <\/span><b>Domain Name System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and without them, the <\/span><b>World Wide Web <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">would be a very different place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yet, they remain largely unnoticed. You can see a domain&#8217;s nameservers either in a Whois database or through the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nslookup<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> command. However, it&#8217;s fair to say that very few end users actually bother to check them out. When it comes to <\/span><b>website owners and hosting resellers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, however, things are a little bit different.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a reseller, <\/span><b>your business plan involves setting up your own hosting company <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and establishing a brand that people recognize.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you resell<\/span><b> ScalaHosting services <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to individual site owners, you don&#8217;t want your clients to know where the services are coming from. Next, click on your domain, open the <\/span><b>Manage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> menu on the left, and select <\/span><b>Private nameservers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You need to enter only the <\/span><b>first part of your nameserve<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">r <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(i.e., if you want to register ns1.yourbrand.com, enter only ns1 in the field).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Below it, you need to enter the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scalahosting.com\/blog\/what-is-my-ip\/\"><b>IP address<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of your hosting account. You can find it in the Welcome Email you received upon signing up, which is also available in the <\/span><b>My Details<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &gt; <\/span><b>Email History<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section of your Client Area.
