The password must be at least 8 characters long, and you can help yourself by using the built-in generator to automatically create and fill in a strong password. You can then view and copy it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you&#8217;re ready with the configuration, click <\/span><b>Create Email <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to set up the new account.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Deleting email accounts<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4><b>cPanel<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To delete an email account in cPanel, go to the <\/span><b>Email Accounts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section and find the address you want to delete on the list. Then, select the checkbox next to it and click the <\/span><b>Delete<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button located at the beginning of the list.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1742\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scalahosting.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image10-4.png\" alt=\"Email Account Management, cPanel\" width=\"94\" height=\"46\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cPanel will ask you if you&#8217;re sure you want to delete the account and will terminate it if you confirm. SPanel will ask you if you&#8217;re sure you want to proceed, and after you confirm, it will delete the account, along with all the data in it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to delete multiple accounts, you can use the checkboxes next to individual addresses to select them and use the <\/span><b>Delete Selected<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button to wipe the inboxes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Changing email accounts&#8217; passwords<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4><b>cPanel<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To change an email account&#8217;s password, go to the <\/span><b>Email Accounts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section, locate the account you want to modify, and click the <\/span><b>Manage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1751\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scalahosting.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/image8-8.png\" alt=\"Email Account Management, cPanel\" width=\"105\" height=\"42\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the <\/span><b>Security<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section, you have a field for a new password. The built-in generator can help you create and fill a complex password on the spot. After you&#8217;re ready, click the <\/span><b>Update Email Settings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button to apply the changes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you know the account&#8217;s current password, it&#8217;s also <\/span><b>possible to change it via <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scalahosting.com\/kb\/webmail-clients-offered-scalahosting\/\"><b>Webmail<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The steps differ depending on whether you&#8217;re using Horde or Roundcube, but in both cases, the facility to change your password is available in the Settings menu after you log into your inbox.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>SPanel<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To change an email account&#8217;s password in SPanel, go to the <\/span><b>Email Accounts <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">section in SPanel&#8217;s User Interface and locate the account you want to modify.
