What Is a Regular Email Address?<\/b><\/h2>\n

A regular email address has<\/span> unique inboxes<\/b> that allow you to access, receive, and send emails. You can reach your inbox online, or through an email client.<\/span><\/p>\n

An email address like<\/span> name@example.com<\/span><\/i> consists of the local-part and a domain or separated by the symbol <\/span>@<\/b>. In some cases, the domain part can be replaced with an<\/span> IP address enclosed in brackets.<\/b><\/p>\n

Choose a Username<\/b><\/h3>\n

To create a new email account, go to the email section of your<\/span> SPanel User Interface<\/b><\/a> and select \u2018<\/span>Email accounts\u2019<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Use a Strong Password<\/b><\/h3>\n

You might be unaware of the dangers of weak passwords, probably because you haven’t experienced a hack yet. To make sure you\u2019re prioritizing security, the SPanel <\/span>enforces a secure password.<\/b><\/p>\n

Your password must be at least <\/span>eight characters long<\/b>, including at least one number, one letter, and one symbol.<\/span><\/p>\n

The SPanel comes with a <\/span>password generator,<\/b> which saves you the time of creating a new password.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Is a Forwarding Email Address?<\/b><\/h2>\n

A forwarding email address is an <\/span>alternative email address <\/b>that allows you to forward your incoming messages to any email address you\u2019ve assigned to receive them. They don\u2019t have inboxes, so they don\u2019t keep messages.<\/span><\/p>\n

We often underestimate the usefulness of this <\/span>type of email address<\/b> and tend to waste time on tasks that it can handle. Instead of sending the same messages to every member of your team when there’s information, you can save that time for more important activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

All you have to do is create a group account and set up forwarders. Once you <\/span>send an email to the group,<\/b> it goes to each members\u2019 primary email account. That way, you don\u2019t have to send multiple emails per time, and your team don\u2019t have to<\/span> open another email account.<\/b><\/p>\n

It shares similarities with email aliases, except that it doesn\u2019t have to end with the same domain as the receiving email. For instance, you can have messages sent to <\/span>team@website.com<\/span><\/i> to get forwarded to <\/span>tonia@gmail.com.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Of course that\u2019s not all you can do with a forwarding email. You can also use it for <\/span>messages that you don\u2019t want <\/b>the sender to link to your primary email address.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assuming you have a <\/span>sales@website.com<\/span><\/i> that allows your customers to make <\/span>enquiries on your website<\/b>. You can make that email address your forwarding email address that feeds into your primary email address.<\/span><\/p>\n

That said, you can <\/span>link multiple forwarding email addresses<\/b> to a primary email account. Or, use one forwarding address for several primary emails.<\/span><\/p>\n

To create a new forwarding email account, go to the email section of your <\/span>SPanel User Interface <\/b>and select <\/span>\u2018Forwarders\u2019<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Fill the email address you\u2019ll be forwarding from by<\/span> entering the username<\/b> in the first field and selecting domain from the dropdown menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fill the recipient email under<\/span> \u2018Forward to\u2019 <\/span><\/i>\u00a0and click \u2018<\/span>Add forwarder.\u2019<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll receive a success message that tells you that the<\/span> first email can now forward any incoming message<\/b> to the second email. And this information will also appear in your list of existing forwarders.<\/span><\/p>\n
