In WordPress, posts and other content can be associated with a specific user that you can delete, removing everything under it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not the case with WooCommerce. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here, products are not associated with the username they were published by, so related entries need to be removed by hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tip: <\/em><\/strong>You can change the number of items you see on the <\/em>Products<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>Categories<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>Attributes<\/em><\/strong>,<\/em> <\/em><\/strong>or <\/em>Tags <\/em><\/strong>screens. Click on <\/em>Screen Options<\/em><\/strong> located at the top right corner of the screen and increase the value of <\/em>Number of items per page,<\/em><\/strong> then click <\/em>Apply.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Click on Products<\/strong> at the main menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Select the top checkbox, located at the very first row of the products list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. This will select the entire page of product entries. You can exclude products from deletion by unchecking the checkbox for their row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. After refining your selection, use the Bulk Actions<\/strong> menu and select Move to Trash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. Confirm the action by clicking Apply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6. This action results in the following events: 7. Click on the Trash(18)<\/strong> link to visit the Trash page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 8. The layout of the Trash<\/strong> screen is identical to the Products <\/strong>screen but performs different actions. Restore <\/strong>and Delete Permanently<\/strong> can be done selectively through the Bulk Actions <\/strong>menu. You can empty the entire list of Trash<\/strong> items by clicking Empty Trash<\/strong>. <\/strong>Clicking the Empty Trash<\/strong> button removes products immediately and does not require confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9. To complete this exercise, press Empty Trash. <\/strong>This will display the number of trashed items and will empty the products list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When sending a product to the trash bin, the following happens:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Example:<\/em><\/strong> You trash a product titled <\/em>Velvet Pants<\/em><\/strong> with URL slug <\/em>velvet-pants<\/em><\/strong>. The product is no longer part of your inventory. Creating a new product named <\/em>Velvet Pants<\/em><\/strong> this time generates the slug <\/em>velvet-pants-1<\/em><\/strong> as the product in the Trash still uses the other URL.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The same Trash mechanics apply to other post types such as Posts<\/strong> and Pages<\/strong>. Items used for categorization, such as Categories<\/strong>, <\/em>Tags<\/strong>,and Product Attributes<\/strong> do not have a Trash and cannot be restored after deletion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Click on Products \u2192 Categories<\/strong>; Products \u2192 Tags <\/strong>for tag items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Remove all items from the screen using the Bulk Actions<\/strong> menu and the checkboxes for each row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Note:<\/em><\/strong> Since categories are obligatory for WordPress and WooCommerce, <\/em>Uncategorized <\/em><\/strong>is used as a placeholder for creating a product without a product category. <\/em>Uncategorized<\/em><\/strong> cannot be deleted.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Clicking the Apply<\/strong> button deletes all custom entries and displays a confirmation text. Only products<\/strong>, posts<\/strong>, pages<\/strong>,and other post types <\/strong>support trashing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. If any list entries remain (besides Uncategorized<\/em>), repeat steps 1\u20133.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Product attributes do not support bulk editing out of the box. This option is present only for the attribute values. On the Attributes<\/strong> screen, attribute values are referred to as Terms.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Once you click Configure Terms<\/strong> for a specific attribute, the Bulk Actions<\/strong> menu and the row checkboxes become available again. Click on Product \u2192 Attributes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. In the Terms <\/strong>column, click on the Configure Terms<\/strong> link for the required attribute row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3.
