The vulnerability is present in all Linux systems dating back to 2000 and could be exploited by attackers to execute code and remotely gain control of Linux machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vulnerability was first discovered by researchers at Qualys and it affects glibc\u00a0library from version 2.2 included in Linux systems since November 2000.\u00a0However, at the moment there is no way to tell if cyber criminals or <a href=\"https:\/\/securityaffairs.co\/18294\/security\/fireeye-nation-state-driven-cyber-attacks.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">state-sponsored hackers<\/a> have been exploiting this vulnerability in the wild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Scala Hosting servers were updated and patched against this vulnerability.
