ScalaHosting Turns 5!
We are extremely happy to write this article! Well, Scala Hosting turned 5 years in business! That is great news for us and we are going to celebrate. We want our customers to celebrate with us and let them feel our happiness and success. We are going to start a special for existing customers only. We are positive no other web hosting provider has ever had such a huge special for their customers. We are offering 75% discount for all new orders done by our clients in the next 3 months! We know we are not going to be profitable from those sales we will do in the next 3 months and we will have to pay for them from our pocket. We are starting the offer only for our special and most beloved existing customers who trusted us, joined Scala Hosting, allowed us to serve them and made us able to celebrate our 5th year in business! We want to tell them a big thank you!
What did we do in those 5 years? It was all joy and happiness because we love our job! Scala Hosting started back in 2007 with 2 servers and no customers. We were selling reseller web hosting only which is our top selling service at the moment. During all the years we added shared web hosting services, virtual servers and dedicated servers. We signed deals with cPanel and R1soft allowing us to become official distributors and provide one of the best backup options for our clients. We tried to find another web hosting company in the world which provides free of charge backups for their clients’ data for the last 30 or even 7 days and we couldn’t. Most providers charge for what we provide for free but we want to be different and show our clients we are better. In the next couple of weeks we are going to introduce more new services such as application web hosting, shoutcast radio hosting, Red5 hosting. We were improving our services all the time and upgrading their specifications such as space and bandwidth. Our Scala1 budget reseller plan provided 5GB of space when we started and now it provides 15GB of space. Our first server used only 2 drives where one of them was used for clients’ data and the other for backups. Today, all our servers utilize 4 drives configured in RAID10 format with a hardware raid card for maximum reliability and performance. Our first servers were leased. Today, all our servers are owned by us. At the beginning, we were offering services in US only. Today, we have physical presence in both USA and Europe with our own equipment and staff. 5 years ago we were thinking how to get our first customer. Today, we are thinking of options to build our own first datacenter. And that is not the end of our growth and success. More is going to come in the next couple of years at Scala Hosting so stay tuned!
